3D finite element analysis of time-dependent deformation of concrete structures

Due to time-dependent deformation of concrete structure like creep and shrinkage, it is known that actual deformation is substantially bigger than designed value.

In our laboratory, 3D finite element analysis which can describe the crack propagation behavior due to time-dependent deformation targeting at RC, PC and PRC structures is developed. Strain of creep is calculated by Step-by-Step method and shrinkage is clarified based on experiment. With these strain, time-dependent deformation behavior is modeled. Strain of creep and shrinkage are separately calculated by step-by-step and clarified based on experiment.
