Evaluation of seismic capacity of statically indeterminate structure

At present, in case of evaluation of statically indeterminate structures, the limit state of one member in considered as whole structure’s state. So, the evaluation methodology is not consolidated yet. In addition, with non-linear analysis, we cannot understand when the capacity of member exceeds load bearing ability. However, non-linear finite element analysis is one of method that can evaluate the ultimate behavior of whole structure.

The purpose of this study is to seek the index of limit state of concrete structure. With the principal compressive strain as the damage index, evaluation of damage area and fracture criteria are clarified based on experimental and analytical approach.
